Reducing waste

These days, so many things are over packaged, and what a terrible waste it creates! Excessive packaging is everywhere, and creates huge environmental problems as well as adding to the cost of the goods we, as a nation, consume.

As a responsible business, we actively reduce the amount of waste we produce and re-use packaging as much as possible. This in turn helps us keep our costs down, passing savings onto our customers for a more efficient and economical service.

So, what are we doing to recycle more?

We ask our suppliers to use recycled packaging to ship goods to us, and we re-use them whenever we can.

You may notice we use clean, recycled boxes to ship your order.

We also use recycled void fillers from our local neighbouring businesses that would otherwise be paying to dispose of it and we’re giving boxes a second life rather than consuming energy and costs in throwing them away.

Where packaging cannot be recycled, we pay to return it to the recycling stream so that the waste our company sends to landfill is kept to an absolute minimum.

We offer a battery recycling program so you can return your used batteries to us and we will ensure they are disposed of properly, and we encourage you to use re-chargeable batteries whenever possible.

We send defective dildos to be recycled into plastic products (yes, really!) and any electrical waste is also returned as WEEE to ensure that none of it is sent to landfill.

Any redundant business machines we have are donated to charity, or again, sent to WEEE and disposed of properly.

And other ways we consider the environment

We use low energy lighting at our premises

We use automatic lighting switches that switch off if rooms are not in use

We minimize the use of paper in our office, printing only what is necessary and running a paperless office as far as we can

We give our customers a “bag for life” instead of a plastic carrier bag (these also make great sex toy storage bags!)
