The Amazing Pantera

It was great to be the host venue for Sminxie’s Super Advanced Masterclass with Pantera yesterday.

The workshop went very well, and was greatly enjoyed by all who attended.  We were thrilled that they also liked our venue and had a look around the shop during the visit.

Pole Dancing has so many benefits for fitness, including brilliant muscle toning benefits and strength.  It is simply amazing to see such talent in pole dancing and tricks that these enthusiasts are able to achieve, and we were awestruck at watching this video taken during her time in Sweden:

Sminxie – the Super Advanced level pole dancing instructor based here at Passion – is hosting a World Class, not-to-be-missed event this coming Saturday, 17^th July.

Pantera Blacksmith is your teacher for the day and the class is already booked up with advanced polers and pole instructors from across Wales for this exciting event in our private, 7 pole studio.

Are sex toys weird?

Yesterday at work we had a lady wander into our shop by accident.  Not sure how she managed to do that, since the shop is bright pink and has a loud door beeper when you come in, but she did manage it.  The lady was very polite but she got as far as halfway up the shop floor looking around, and then asked us, “What do you sell in here…”.

Now, call me naïve but if you open your eyes you will see you’re in a sexy place here… the area of the shop at the entrance has jewellery and gorgeous clothes, but also big platform shoes that might just give a little hint of what else is to be expected…

Anyway, just in case she hadn’t seen these sexy things before (she was about 28 at a guess), I told her, “we’re a sexy shop…” and her face changed completely.  “Oh! She exclaimed.  Well, that’s weird. Do people really buy all that stuff?”

For some reason, if anyone implies that sex toys are in any way odd, I always go straight on the defensive and I did the usual explaining, “well the people who buy them are regular couples, and no, they are not what I would class as weird.  In fact I own quite a few myself… and I don’t consider myself to be weird…” and I annoy myself when I do that.  Why do I need to defend sex toys!  They are a therapy.  They are useful.  They save marriages!  They are essential for millions in fact.

Weird!  Weird! Do we look weird? What’s wrong with people!  Let’s get some education out there guys.  Sex toys are not weird!  (well some are a little bit out of the ordinary but it depends on what you’re into…).

I managed to kick the not-so-polite-after-all lady out promptly, and then started ranting… Does this woman know what an orgasm is?  Has she ever had one?  Is she weird?

But now I’ve shared my story I feel much better.

It was Pimms O Clock

Saturday afternoons at Passion.

It could be mega busy or just a chilled, steady day for us and this past Saturday was the latter, with customers just passing through, making their purchases and enjoying the warm summer sun in Cardiff.

Then we got a visit from some long term customers of ours from Kent.  They had travelled all the way to see us, (and some of their other friends of course) – and they brought with them some new friends, and a bottle of Pimms to sip whilst doing their shop.

Trying to get us tipsy, they poured a glass for the Passion staff; complete with ice and strawberries.  Boy do these guys know how to party!  We turned the music up a bit and everyone was in the mood for a bit of fun.

Very nice it was too, chillaxing the day even further… what a start to a slow, sexy weekend…

Daring, cutting edge photo project

We love working with local photographers and here’s proof that Welsh talent can rival talent from anywhere in the world!

Ryo Love is a local fine art student who has just completed her final year project and exhibition.

The exhibition was entitled Characters and for the Dom-Sub shoot, Ryo used our location along with the help of her 2 very talented friends, Alabama and Masubi.  The Dom-Sub scene was just one part of Ryo’s project, and each part was styled and shot in a most appealing and visually stunning way.

We’re really proud of you Ryo!
