Dancers Wanted for Interview
Written on Thursday, February 16th, 2012 at 3:55 pmAre you a dancer?
Wales On Sunday are wondering if any pole-dancers/lap-dancers working in Welsh clubs would be able speak to them (anonymously if necessary) about the job? It is for an article for this weekend’s Wales on Sunday paper based on a new UK study about what the dancers think about their work, and so it would be great to speak to some Welsh women about their experiences.
If interested, please give Brendon Hughes a call on 029 2024 3641 asap.

The Pole Conditioning Class is an amazing way to get fit and to lose weight. During this class the pole is used as a support aid during the flexibility and the strength exercises. This class is a great way of increasing your upper body and core strength, to enable you to do pole moves more fluently. The pole conditioning class just focuses on using the pole as a fitness aid. This class is designed to increase your fitness levels. No pole dancing moves are taught during this class.
This class is only £5 to anyone who attends a Pole Dancing Class during the week.
“I have been enjoying pole dancing for 8 years and fell in love with it from my first class. I have always liked keeping fit but found I became bored quickly if I went to the gym or attended any of the classes at the gym. The fitness benefits for this type of exercise are amazing.”
(KT Wild- teacher)
About Pole Dancing:
Pole dancing can burn as many as 300 calories which is similar to a good gym session.
Builds muscle and tones- It helps strengthen your stomach muscles and you can, if you attend classes regularly expect to see increased muscle definition in your bottom, tummy, arms and thighs.
Beating the winter blues- the physical excertion helps your body to release happy hormones- endorphins, making you feel better and more energetic.
What to wear:
A vest top with shorts are best as your bare legs help to grip on to the pole. Bring trainers for the warm up. All classes are done in bare feet or ballet pumps.
KT’s classes are very fun and energetic- if you love socializing then KT is the teacher for you!

Written on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 at 2:47 pmThe experienced teachers will guide you through a series of pole based exercises, designed to improve your fitness levels and flexibility by using your own body weight as a resistance. Pole dancing is a fantastic way to improve upper body and core strength, creating lean muscles, suitable for pole dancers and as a general exercise class. Being supple and flexible will also help in all forms of fitness and is essential to the healthy functioning of joints and muscles!
No pole dance experience is necessary.
Join Sophie at Passion
- for Beginners Class – Saturdays 5-6pm.
- for Mixed Ability Class – Wednesdays 6.30-7.30pm

Vertical Dance (Pole Dancing) is a fun way to build your confidence and make new friends! Not to mention the improvement in your posture, coordination, strength and flexibility!
Many moves in Vertical Dance require using your own body weight as a resistance so your strength improves as you practice each move without even realizing you’re exercising. Pole dancing is also a great way to improve your flexibility as classes gently encourage your body to loosen up through use of the full range of movement.
“I had no upper body strength before I started pole dancing- I couldn’t do a press up and in the first class I couldn’t lift my body weight! But you are so focused during the class, concentrating on learning where your arms and legs must go you forget you are exercising! My upper body strength improved rapidly and I noticed how toned my body had become! I loved the effect pole dancing had on my body and the sense of achievement I felt in each class once I mastered a new move! You are guaranteed to love it!”
(Sophie, Instructor)
Classes begin with a gentle warm up before learning a selection of tricks and spins!
It is recommended you wear shorts to classes and we request you do not wear moisturizer on the day of the class. We dance in bare feet or trainers.
Pole taster session- £5 each
Pole fitness class- £7.50 each or £5 students
5 week course- £35
