Kegel Exercisers
Women have a Kegel muscle which they can contract and release at will. When a woman reaches orgasm, her Kegel muscles contract at a constant pace. Natural aging and childbirth can slacken these muscles, causing loss of sensation and even orgasm (as well as causing incontinence).
Kegel exercise can restore Kegel muscle tone, and this in turn will improve female wellbeing and sexual fitness.
The Kegel group of muscles are so called because they were “discovered” by 1940′s pioneer Dr. Arnold Kegel, who helped women overcome urinary incontinence through their pelvic floor exercises with a feedback instrument called the Perineometer. These muscles are attached to the pelvic bone and act like a hammock, holding in your pelvic organs. To try and isolate these muscles trying stopping and starting the flow of urine.
Kegeling provides many benefits both partners can gain from:
- Sexual enjoyment is enhanced for both partners as you tighten, strengthen and control your vagina
- It can prevent prolapses of pelvic organs
- It can help prevent leaking urine when you sneeze or cough
- Conditioned muscles will make birth easier, and your perineum will more likely be intact (fewer tears and episiotomies)
So, work on safely strengthening, toning and tightening your vagina and once again learn to experience multiple orgasm with the help of Kegel exercise. You can do these “tightening and relaxing” exercises anywhere at any time, without anyone knowing. And, do them during sex and your partner will also feel the benefit!
You can also use Kegel Exercisers which are devices or apparatus that assist you in monitoring the strength and progress of your Kegel Exercise program. See links below for a small selection of these Kegel Exercisers and research more information and related reviews.
